Scale: 2.5″ = 1′ – 0″ This four foot long engine model exposes the internal components which are highlighted by LED lighting. When a capacitive touch sensor is activated, the white ambient lighting switches to blue for dramatic effect. This model was first created digitally and then parts were rapid-prototyped or ‘grown’ in our 3D printer. This digital data set now allows us to efficiently produce detailed computer animations and replicate scaled model parts more cost effectively.
