As a global leader in power generation, GE produces some of the most advanced gas turbine technology in the world. The LM6000-PH is a flagship of efficiency, designed to provide fast, flexible power for a changing energy grid. GE collaborated with Midwest Studios to bridge the gap between complex data and physical reality.
Our objective was to translate the immense scale and complexity of GE’s power systems into a tangible, interactive format. First, we provided a hands-on perspective of the turbine’s internal architecture. By creating a high-fidelity physical scale model and matching digital renderings, highlighting its modularity and high-performance design.
Our technical storytelling process represents every component of the LM6000-PH with accuracy across multiple mediums:
Physical Scale Models: Detailed physical models that serve as centerpiece exhibits for tradeshows and sales environments, allowing for a 360-degree view of the turbine’s core
3D Visualization & Renderings: Digital renderings that showcase the PH package in various industrial environments
Sales & Training Tools: Engineered to function as both marketing collateral and training resources, helping sales teams illustrate how the unit integrates into broader energy ecosystems
This project represents the perfect synergy of our CG and physical capabilities. By starting with GE’s complex engineering data, we provided a powerful toolkit that validates their technical leadership in the power generation sector.
