NASA: High-Fidelity Technical Modeling & Animation

NASA high-fidelity technical modeling & animation to represent launch vehicles and their systems. These assets bridge the gap between complex CAD engineering data and museum-quality models for production-run evaluations and public exhibitions.

The collaboration resulted in a fleet of models that serve as the visual benchmark for the Constellation program. 3D scale models allow viewers to see inside the mission, including hardware and equipment usually hidden by fairings. By producing the Ares I and V in identical scales (1:100, 1:144, 1:350), we provided a direct visual reference for the massive scale difference between crew and cargo launch capabilities.

  • Rapid Prototyping: Utilization of 3D printing to achieve complex geometries that traditional machining cannot replicate, specifically for intricate internal parts and equipment.
  • High-Fidelity Finishing: Each model features museum-quality surfacing, including authentic NASA livery, high-visibility markings, and professional-grade coatings.
  • Modular Engineering: The 1:100 scale modular variants were engineered with precision-fit joints to allow for repeated assembly / disassembly, highlighting the internal stage-to-stage connections.
  • Data-Driven Animation: Digital assets were developed to provide a transition from physical models to screen-based media, ensuring technical consistency across all NASA platforms.

From modular trade show pieces to 4K digital renderings, these assets provided a cohesive visual identity for NASA’s next-generation flight hardware.
