U.S. Capitol: Visitor Center Experience
When the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center set out to commission a large-scale, 3D replica of the Capitol Dome, they turned to Midwest Studios to bring history to life in a way that could be understood by all visitors. The result is a 14-foot-tall scale model that blends traditional craftsmanship with digital visualization. The 3D model is built with 98% structural accuracy and designed to be touched and experienced up close.
Installed at the U.S. Capital Visitor Center Exhibition Hall, the replica now serves as a powerful and inclusive centerpiece—capturing not only the architectural brilliance of the original Dome, but also the spirit of public accessibility.
